Getting to know our "Who" and "Why" behind the scenes!!

Hello! My name is Lindsay Montgomery and I am excited to be part of this mission. I hold my Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies from Central Washington University. I also hold a Master of Science degree in Family & Child Life, which allowed me to become a Certified Child Life Specialist, supporting youth and young adults throughout complex healthcare systems. I completed my clinical practicum at Mary Bridge Hospital and clinical internship at Swedish Medical Center, in addition to completing practicums working within the mental health and substance use fields. Once certified, I worked as a Child Life Specialist at Seattle Children’s Hospital for over 4.5 years supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and their families primarily in the Emergency and Oncology departments, as well as in schools and higher education. I currently work with Newport Healthcare as a Clinical Outreach Specialist supporting individuals in finding behavioral health resources both in Washington state and nationally.

My biggest passion is supporting youth and families through complex medical systems, in seeing firsthand over many years how challenging it can be for individuals & families to navigate challenging systems while also in crisis. In all roles, I am driven to be a consistent supportive team member for youth, individuals, and families, and enjoy collaborating with other professionals in the community to cast as wide a net as possible to better serve these populations.

In my free time, I love exploring all the beauty that the PNW has to offer with my extremely sweet golden retrievers, Ella and Riley.
